I would suggest you go yourself and try it out. I have been going since 93. I have taken both modded and stock cars, 11 different cars overall during this time, and have never had a bad experience. I have seen many people over the years get completely bent out of shape over a plastic trophy. I get that some people are into that, but I go to enjoy my car and talk to other people that share the same interest. If you like birds, this is THE show.
