Here is what I'm working with... I 'restored' the finish. It's not exactly like the original PMD finish but it does look like wood and not plastic. I was able to simulate some grain and the joints. If I'd known how well the joints were going to show, I would have been neater with them and also placed them in the proper place. That was a boo-boo.
