I would send it back. You’ve already spent your shipping fees in chasing your tail. If you hear the noise consistently then Paul will be able to duplicate it. You are beginning to get too many fingers in the pie. It’s just like the last cam swap I did for a guy he brought it back to me with it obviously running on about 6 cylinders. When I took the valve cover off he had his friends over chasing a ticking noise and one that didn’t know what he was doing tightened the **** out of all the rocker arms wiping the cam out. Lost a friend over it cause I told him I wasn’t buying a new cam and lifter set when work was done after the fact. Paul is being very generous on letting you send it back and I would take him up on it. Your mileage may vary
