I just verified that my car's, and my spare heater controls do indeed say de-ice;
so was the same wording used for hvac controls on an AC car?

I am also interested in knowing if anyone her has a nice picture (or three) showing the yearly different non-TA dash insert;
I would own examples of all three, but just to collect for fun, they have gotten expensive;
The attached photo has a 1972 on top, and a 1970 on the bottom.
The 1971 dash inserts (on cars that I have seen which were unquestionably unchanged) had a greyish wood effect which is why I called it a bleached birchwood).
