Tires fail for many different reasons. Like I said in an earlier post, the tires on my 02 T/A are 9 years old and run fine and hold air fine. BUT, I've had to replace tires sooner for one reason or another, mostly because of dry rot from sitting in 100+ degree Arizona summers. They lasted longer since I've been able to keep it in a garage and out of the sun. There's no debate that everything deteriorates over time but the rate can be determined by usage and climate. Tires are a consumable product and I always keep an eye on them. When they need replacing I replace them for whatever reason.
