Did up a quickie design and priced it.
Part seen below can be done for $3.25 each if ordered in a batch of 100.
With a bit of tweaking I'd guess a finished product could be made for around $4.00 each .... perhaps up to 4" wide, and like this example 1/2" thick 6061 aluminum. Finish would be plain aluminum so the end user might have to polish them a bit if they wanted something fancy. Would probably be plasma cut or water jet, so edge finish might be less than perfect, if milled would be better.
