Not sure, but if you pull out all the spark plug and remove the Dizzy cap how far can you spin the Balancer before the Dizzy rotor moves?
If that movement is close to 1/2" then the question as to what type of Cam gear is in the motor is a moot point as it's plain just time to replace the gears and chain.
