Life is too short to spend it being mad at **** I have no control over. And honestly being able to carry around my entire music collection and play it anywhere is pretty damned cool. I don't miss my CDs for a second. I still have a decent LP collection and it's fun to play them occasionally but I wouldn't want to buy any new ones, though new LPs are being produced for limited markets. One of the things I really appreciate about the digital music market is that I don't have to buy an entire album to get one or two songs I like.
35mm film is still being produced. Certainly not as many varieties as there used to be, but if you want to give your old Oly rig a workout and flex your creative muscles, you can still do it with film. Olympus made some nice stuff. Again though, there's a reason that market is dying. I still have my Nikon F100 but haven't picked it up in close to a decade. Give me digital all day long. No more buying film and changing film rolls at inconvenient times, and carrying around canisters of film and then paying to have it developed (or building your own dark room and dicking around with chemicals). I can carry my camera and a couple batteries on a week long backpacking trip and shoot as many frames as I want and sort and process them all on my home computer for literally pennies on the dollar compared to film. Shooting digital has allowed me to practice and expand my creativity in ways I probably never would have with film.

I'm sorry that you're stuck in your ways and angry about it. I hope that you can find some peace and serenity going forward. Life should be enjoyed, we're only here for a short time.
