I told him it doesn't matter I just need one for a SBC
He said, "I need to look it up"
I told him it was a '67 Chevy Nova Wagon
He asked, "what size engine"
I told him to just look up a V8
He said he needed the cubic inch
This is where I sat back for the fun and told him it was a "408"
After a couple of minutes of pecking on his keyboard he said he couldn't find a 408 and that they didn't make one
I said "no s hit its custom" and I went on to tell him to just put in 327
He then asked "what transmission"
I said "For a thermostat gasket???????"
He said he had to put in the info
I told him it has a 700R4
He was all F'd up after that
Well I knew where in the back, behind the counter, the rack of thermostat gaskets were so I went back there and in 2 seconds had what I needed in my hand.
I spent almost a half hour in that store for something that should have taken 5 minutes at best.

And rather than tell him what type of car; you said small block chevy.
then you told him the wrong size engine.
Then he probably asked you manual or automatic to which you again gave him the wrong answer.
Who is the ASSHAT here? YOU or the kid trying to do his job? Sounds like you.

Comprehension is a tough thing to some people here obviously.
As for F ROCK...... There was nothing I said to the guy that was not true which is why I simply asked for a thermostat gasket for a SBC. I told the guy that there would be no listing for what I was working on. There is no listing for any customized vehicle in any book or database. But if an ASSHAT like you can conjure one up, I am certainly interested.
