I wouldn't say the "bottom has fallen out" on Can Ams (well, on this one it sort of is from rust  ). It's just that they're expensive to restore due to fewer good parts available than for say, a '64-'72 GTO, and the values of restored ones make it hard to justify the investment. So a car needing a lot of parts/work like this one is a tough sell.
And, since this one was sold new in CA, it has the Olds 403 engine, which is generally a bit less desirable to some Pontiac folks than the 49 state cars with the Pontiac 400s. |
Odd that a CA car would have a lot of rust? I didn't know the CA cars has Olds engines.
