Not to mention Scott Roberts had the metallurgy tested, after Randy cut up a new Speedmaster head to check thickness etc, and said it was everything it was said to be as far as the aluminum alloy contents.
I was skeptical as well, but Randy seems to have dispelled that these heads are inferior to the E Heads that we Pontiac folks have been overpaying for like 20 years. But still Olds/Edelbrock,Speedmaster, and AMC heads from Edelbrock are still hundreds of dollars cheaper than Pontiac heads are...………
Funny thing is, the same dissent was present when E heads first came out, many of the skeptics at that time said they weren't as good as the factory cast iron heads.
Then KRE, and the CV1s are still taking a beating on this forum.....
The adage, "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all of the time".... is still true....
