We came to the conclusion that the crank was flexing causing the issues. We've since went to a bryant crank and are now closing up the clearances without issue. I feel the Scat crank probably would have benefited from alum rods over the steel rods. I think the alum rods would cushion things better causing the crank to flex less. Just our observation

I am over 1000hp Scat crank Oliver billet rods same bearing 2012 every thing checks perfect. NHRA pro stock engine builder. Will be close to 1200hp this season with the bigger jets I don't foresee any problem.. Just hang on..
