After reading in the latest Smoke Signals about the museum in Pontiac IL having "an experimental Mickey Thompson Pontiac block, number 8 of 12 such castings" I'm puzzled. I emailed Bob Tripolsky at the museum with my questions, but no reply yet. Through all my research since 1985 (when I bought my first block from Mickey), including phone conversations with Mickey and Fritz, the only aluminum Pontiac blocks associated with Mickey were the few that PMD had cast by Harvey Aluminum (my two were from the initial 6 that went from PMD to Mickey).
Anybody here know what that museum block is?
