Yeah, I reckin it all depends on how old you are, & what music you listened to when you were young.

At my age, I grew up listening to the mid to late '50's "Rock & Roll", with singers like Elvis & Chuck Berry, on up thru the '60's, with all the surfin songs & car songs, as well as the good Motown stuff, & on into the late '60's stuff, & even on into some of the early '70's stuff. Loved the CCR stuff. Loved songs like "Born to be Wild" & Magic Carpet Ride. I even liked some of the wilder stuff like some of the Jimi Hendrix songs, and some other stuff that had the distorted guitar sounds in it.

After that, the heavy metal & stuff got too nasty for me.

Bob Seger sorta summed it up, for me, in the late '70's, with this song. There is a currently running commercial that uses this song.

Seeing the pic of Bob Seger just reminded me. Pontiac racer Brent Flynn plays in a a rock band. And to me, with his hair down, he looks a lot like that Bob Seger pic.

How bout a little Mitch Ryder ?

Loved the songs with lots of organ music. IIRC, they didn't have the fancy keyboards, at 1st. They used Hammond B3 organs, with Leslie rotating speakers.
