I have an aftermarket billet unit so I cant really do the points thing.

I just felt like the way this thing hooks up it would be very easy to simply take it out of the loop in the event it stopped working.

Oh I see, they have a digital unit now. I quit using them back about when they came out with a Pertronix II so it's been quite a while for me.

You're thinking like me, if that can be taken out of the loop fairly easy then I feel a lot better about running stuff like this. Easy to bypass in the event of a failure.
