The first time I tried to hook on the street I ended up in the dirt facing the starting line lol. So the car has come a long way since then.
The main things I did were:
Square the chassis.
Set the ladder bars closest to level with the rockers and no preload with me in it.
Set the pinion angle.
Viking Crusader DA shocks front and rear
5+ inches of lift from ride height up front.
Saturday night there was an early Firebird at the street races that was hooking hard. Nitrous car with CalTracs and Strange DA shocks front and rear.
I don't have any experience with CalTracs, but I've seen plenty of cars hook as hard as anything on the street with them.
