Any update on Plastikote 208? I realize it has been discontinued, which is too bad because it was the best aerosol I've found to the original '59-'65 engine color. The Duplicolor equivalent is quite noticeably darker. VHT, if I remember correctly is noticeably lighter. The Hirsh product is priced at $20.00 per aerosol can..

When painting engine parts and intake manifolds, the only practical method for me is aerosol cans. The Plastikote product was easy to apply, durable, and easy t obtain.

Ames sold the Plastikote product as their go-to engine paint. The replacement aerosol is part number PN430B. The Plastikote number was PN430 at $7.00 each, but now is $16.00 due to higher cost from a new vendor.

The first two pictures are of recent Tripower parts I've painted with Plastikote 208. The third picture is of the VHT equivalent. You can see it is very light compared to the original. The last picture is of Duplicolor 1610 vs. Plastikote 208 vs. some original paint on the cyl. head.
