FWIW...for a 70 GTO, American Autowire evidently does not do a conversion for HEI on their OEM engine harness, but is an included option on the Classic upgrade kit. Although the Classic kit contains all the additional wiring for upgrades like digitial dash, HEI, power option, etc, and is less expensive than purchasing separate harnesses, connectors are not installed and requires quite a bit more labor to install.
M&H will do a HEI upgrade to their OEM harness and also an internally regulated alternator conversion. Might look into them.
