The one RBS sells is the standard fare BDS intake. Short is good because anytime you can lessen the distance from the crank AND keep the pulley as close to the block as possible (laterally speaking), the less stress induced on the crank snout.
If distributor/magneto clearance is an issue, Mike Dunn in Texas can make you an offset drive for a Pontiac (had him make me one years ago, to clear a 14-71 on this very intake). My intake is also drilled/tapped for port nozzles.
