I seem to recall from a long time ago someone here on the board posted the change from black to red took place in December, 1969. There was a specific date in the month mentioned as well. I just can't remember the actual date or the posters name.
I have a 1970 GTO made in the third week of December, 1969 and it has red center caps.
The 1970 T/A in the stable was made in May, 1970. It has red center caps.
