IDK. I like the idea of the Dog Bones. If that plate has enough clearance, the lifter can twist slightly, and put side loads on the roller. I don't think they can tolerate much of a side load? That plate would be good, as amore rigid way to hold the dog bones down. But I don't like the idea of the dog bones jumping up and down when the flats of the lifters run into them. Just thinking out loud, why not grind the flats of the lifters longer with a surface grinder? I really like this idea though!
