You do not get the wall wetting as much with EFI vs with a carb BUT you still get some fuel reversion back up the runners to the plenum, even with EFI.

This info is based in inserting a camera inside the plenum of the intakes we tested in Research.

You also get water condensation (from the cool air from the intercooler (before the throttle body and the plenum/runners at some rpm points). That condensation of water typically finds the closest intake runner and is drawn into that runner at some cruising speeds. A bit of rpm changer or a different rpm point and the water is absorbed back into the fresh air charge and the water disappears.
