Can't speak to the bathtub directly because I have never owned one.......but with our sheet metal tunnel ram and 2 Holley 4 bbls. we had issues. The original sheet metal had a flat floor and it was very sensitive to stalling and backfire and would catch the intake on fire. This happened multiple times at the drag strip after a long burnout. We reasoned it was puddling fuel when the throttles were closed quickly from wide open during a long burnout. We modified the flat floor with a convex rib running from the port openings the length of the plenum. Helped some. The switch to the Wenzler Gutsram with the V plenum and no more issues and the car ran much cleaner in transition and was even quicker overall. So I am a fan of the V plenum.
