I'm not sure about the transmission but the shop said there was a noticeable amount of metal in the pan when it was removed. I'd really like to go with a similar set up since I was happy with the performance of the engine. I'm pretty scared of the bad stories on the Comp 857 lifters though. What are your thoughts on going with this combination?

They are really expensive compared to the Comp lifters but cheap in comparison to another engine pull.
