Where there is a will there is a way as I have found.I can get 1/2 inch more room by milling the top.Also these intakes did not use the 625 cars with the factory SD air cleaners.They ran a pair of 750 NASCAR AFBs with NO ACs.

Plenty of will here. I know you wanted to use the SD AC's, as mentioned it is still possible.
