My stepson Mechanic recently left the Ford Dealer ship because their engines have too many bad designs: the most modern little engine has an oil-wetted timing BELT!
The 1-liter Ecoboost 3-CYL has a oil-wet timing belt! That engine is gonna tank the Ford Motor Company.
So one of those came in for "repair" (belt wore to pieces, interference valves bent, probably broke guides, pistons, bearings ); he said "no it's totalled", some words went and he flat-quit. He has been smiling every day since.
