my 78 has 3.42 & didnt have the box & 2 piece cable when i bought it, so likely was replaced with the 1 piece long cable. will have to test the speedo with GPS now but it always seemed to be close to accurate when driving in traffic or on the highway with other cars.

not sure on any optional ratios for these cars. I wish the trans had a lower 1st gear, would be easier on the clutch. I think all the 79 400 optioned TA and Forms had 3.23s
