thanks for the info on cable grease... i will try a moly/synthetic grease in the future. my cars & many classics do sit for a long time or get lower miles <1000/year so drying can be an issue.
the graphite was an older thing from the 70s-80s so im sure there are better options today, just need to be sure its the right grease, synthetics werent around back then.
