I have one out of a chevy truck that just needs to be shortened to fit my car. Its 4" diameter and would clear everything no problem. It already accepts 1350 U joints which is what is in my car now. My local driveshaft place wants $350.00 to shorten and balance it which is not bad. In my case, I would only be trying decrease inertial load. My current DS is 3.5" and has 1350 U joints and I have no issues. So, its sort of a "get around to it" upgrade.
