Ford has had a 4 wheel "Hub" Dyno in the Ford Research Building for at least 20 years.
Most of the 11 cells that were there were conventional engine dynos or rear tire dynos.
Not sure about6 40 years ago but if you say so. Never paid any attention to that deal as most testing wants
to simulate a real car on the road, that means the tire component has to be there.
