Well, the SD-455 is back up and running after a long, long rest. Cranked about 5-7 seconds and started right up and went to fast idle. It was damn cold out. Around 30 degrees but sunny. The car warmed up and ran about a half hour. Nothing sounds like an SD-455! Light rumble and piston slap, slightly rough idle, just a beautiful mechanical symphony. Best sounding low compression engine ever, IMO. Next, new tires, and license plates. Then off to remove some rubber from the new tires!. I have some video. I will post a link as soon as the owner gets it published so the link will work. Thanks for following along. Low mileage, all original car ready to roll again.
