Reviving this for the last time. The car is back at the shop getting the final adjustment, fixes and touchups. Going to take once last look at the color for this.
Paint Codes are: PPG: DX-1757, DuPont: 389-256, Rinshed Mason: 838
It's described as either Dark Blue, Green Gray or Turquoise. That product from Thornton looks very close. '68 Oldsmobile trunk paint code was DX-1758.
Not sure what the paint codes mean, but 1 digit apart must mean there's little difference between them.
I can have the shop mix it right there if I knew the formula.
BTW, that DX-1757 code is also used on A-Body cars, those guys can be very particular about those things so maybe I can find out there.
