Is there any breakdown of what engines went into what body cars?
For example, how many 421HO 3x2 engines went into Convertibles, 2+2, 2 door cars, 4 door cars, Catalina's, Bonneville's etc?
My 1965 Bonneville 4 door hardtop has a "YK" 421 HO Tripower. Factory installed according to the build sheet. Still in the car.
I just can't imagine that would have been a popular engine choice to fit into a 4DRHT car. In America.
My car was built as an Export car, came to Australia brand new, and would have been a VERY expensive car when retailed brand new here so I guess when it was ordered the dealer here ticked as many boxes as possible to show it as an unusual car with unusual specifications.
