Wait and see what your builder finds.

If the pushrods simply came out, your rocker arms were misadjusted (loose) and turned or rocked enough to allow the pushrods to slip out. That ticking you heard may have been loose rockers.

If the pushrods are bent, then you had mechanical interference at play. Valves may have bounced and kissed the piston top or your rocker ratio and pushrod pocket offset may have caused your retainer to hit the guides. Things like valve spring coil bind need to be rechecked and ruled out but typically, you will also have a broken valve spring from coil bind.
