An old friend of mine had me pump out a few gallons of stale gas that was likely just a few years old out of the tank of his VW bus. It didn’t run worth a damn with the old gas and he needed it to run good enough to load onto a transporter since he was selling it.
I took the stale gas home with me and I ended up burning it in my 2 daily driver Hondas. I poured in about a gallon into the 13 gallon tank so it was about 12 gallons of new gas to one gallon of stale gas.
No problems and the way it drove didn’t change.
All good, with the price of gas nowadays I’d definitely run it in one of your cars little by little.
Here’s the 1962 Deluxe Samba (sold for 160K) pictured with my 1966 single cab pickup. My friend restored both of them.
