Another good point to obey religiously is to always install the hour and minute hands at exactly 12. If not you likely end of with the hour hand half way between to numbers when the minute hand as at 12.
Last tip, 69 clocks use the red gears in the kit and the kit number is I-3035 from ISI

Noted on the read gears and 2x4. I watched the video today, but had too many speakers to build to devote the time to starting the rebuild. After I get back from cardio rehab tomorrow morning I'm going to dive in before I have to pack up a bunch of orders to ship. They did ship me the 3035 kit.
