I do like the idea of putting casters on them, I have everything else on wheels, my compressor is about the only thing that isn't, and I see no downside to doing it.

On a couple of occasions I was very happy my compressor is on wheels. Like when parts roll behind it, or belts need adjusting. etc.
I even have my 2500 lb Bridgeport on wheels
