I'm giving this a bump because I just realize another 1970-only part;
The drivers side (remote) mirrors!?
I have three 1970 model year drivers side mirrors, and they are unique from the 1971 drivers mirrors that I have in that...
I cannot remove the mirror from the assembly!!
I am not sure how I missed this in the past, but 1971+ drivers side mirrors have a round hole for removing the housing's mount/pedestal, then you can feed the cable through the housing;
but the 1970 mount/pedestal has a small oval opening - they must have been assembled before getting to the production line!?
I am quite curious about how, or at what stage they were painted.
I was looking at the passenger side housings too, and I think that the 1970 housings have different imprints...
