For a stock carburetor application, I probably wouldn't use it. If you were doing an EFI upgrade, I think it is worth saving. In the EFIs all the "barrels" open together. Some benefit to having it all opened up. Toyed with the idea of doing it to my manifold, but couldn't bring myself to hack up a good original manifold.
