So I just received my aftermarket Reverse Lockout Rod from Ames. Part number FR684T. For my 69 4-Speed Bird. Could not get it to fit. Each side fits by itself in it's prospective holes, but once one side is in, the other side would not fit. And I think I see why. See pics. The first pic is the side that goes in the arm on the tranny. It's 90 degrees to the rod. Second pic is the side that goes in the swivel arm. It is more like a 45 degree bend. It seems like if they we're both 90's it would fit. Could some who has a original one or a pic of an aftermarket one that fits please let me know if this looks right before I call Ames for a refund or replacement?
