I mentioned horsepower in the previous post. Now looking at the torque curve for the two intakes on my 505. Again on the first dyno session.

I discounted the pulls under 3800 rpm, some numbers looked a bit erratic.
At that 3800 rpm the RPM intake was up 27 ft. lbs. torque over the Victor intake. At 4200 rpm they were dead even with the exact same 625 ft.lbs. torque. The RPM intake made it's peak torque at 4400 rpm and here is where the Victor intake started to make more torque over the RPM intake.

The Victor intake made peak torque at 4400/4600 rpm depending on the pulls with 635-639 ft.lbs. torque. At 5000 rpm the Victor was up by 19.1 ft.lbs. torque, at 5200 rpm up by 23 ft.lbs torque.

At 5800 rpm the RPM was down 18.6 ft.lbs. torque, and this was where it made peak power with 615.5 HP.

The Victor intake continued to make peak power up thru 6000 and higher rpm, depending on the pull. On the previous post I stated a best of 642 hp but looking again I found a dyno sheet with 647 hp at 6200 rpm.

( side topic... I mentioned a change to the use of a UltraDyne MSP solid roller cam after the Crower cam. By no means is this any type of recommendation here ! That was UltraDynes most aggressive series of solid roller cams and I had some roller lifter issues using it. In an effort to run a less aggressive cam and to lessen the spring pressure but with the same 255 degrees intake duration I worked with Tim at Bullet Racing. I no longer have the MSP roller )
