Some of the Chinese mechanical pump "knock-offs" have fuel pressures at idle at almost twice the old Pontiac fuel pressure numbers, (5-5.5 psi).
Chinese knock-offs closer to 8-9 psi at idle. Not sure where this 7 psi fuel pressure number comes from.
The Pontiac service manuals give the specs (if you have the right info) for a stock pontiac engine/carb fuel pressure.
