I agree it's ugly now, but when I was a teenager in the 70's, the wilder the car looked, the cooler it was. This car was probably done up good in the 70's, and instead of putting money into it, they just painted it. The "Celestial" car below is a 73 Trans AM with a 455 4-speed. The untouched original numbers matching engine is still in the car.
As far as ugliest Firebird ever, I would rank the eagle beak and
Celestial right up there. Here's what the "ultimate" hot rods looked like back then:
