I read between the lines, as if the center notch is straight up and the cam has the built-in advance or did not need it because it was symmetrical in the first place. I for example am using an asymmetrical Cam. Anyway, the notch to the right and the one to left of center is 4 degrees each at the Crank and therefore 2 degrees at the Cam in each direction. Mikes 2 cents.
