I don’t like the dial backs,.
In fact due to there electronics inside them within the same models for instance if you had let’s say 4 of them they would all read different .

This is due to the resistors used that have a 10% tolerance.

For example a common 10K ohm resistor could actually check out at 11K ohms or 9K ohms.
Even if the gun was made with better quality 5% tolerance resistors that’s enough to show up as a difference.
Also the knob on these guns is a resistor, a veritable resistor and with a Tolerance to it also.

Use your non dial back light for a base line and then When you use the dial back just factor that difference in compared to what you read on the balancer.
