That's what the underside of my Z28 air cleaner looks like. If you have the center breather hole style valve covers like OEM, the tube points right at the filler hole. I bought a repro steel elbow and the short rubber connecting hose (also Chevy) and installed via a standard breather grommet in the valve cover. Looks like OEM and no interferences.

Your air cleaner look's like the one a friend of my brother gave me. What year Z-28 steel elbow and short rubber hose did you order to do your installation?
Also what vender did you use the acquire these items?
