My predecessor, that began this project, was a Machinist/Mold-maker, very smart, but drank himself to death as did my brother recently. Otherwise, I would "not" have had to go over all his work. If he liked to use the computer and he didn't, he could have researched each phase of the work, as he performed each task.
After Ten years or more now, I have realized that I bought a second-hand project with a sourced-out motor, Trans. and a Posi-traction 3.23/disc rear. All just dropped into a 1979 Pontiac "F" -Body, never run nor tested either.
Good thing I did not overpay for this project.
P.S. Tomorow, I am going back to Harbor Freight to purchase a new engine stand. This working on a table isn't cutting it, I need to feel like a pro in order to get professional results. The Book is coming soon, but we have not removed the Pistons and won't until we buy the new engine stand for $89 with the coupon, complete. Lou went to the store and was in a rush to use the coupon, it was late when he got there and he had no time to get the 8-ton jack that I wanted for the RV that cost $25, on sale or some misc. supplies.
Tooling up for the Engine tare down, the saga continues...
