NW doesn't need a spacer because of plenum volume, it needs a space because there is no turn from carb to runners without a spacer and because it needs some room from floor to carb.
With a spacer the NW looks to be a pretty good intake.
First time I dynoed my 462 I tryed a bunch of intake's and the NW came
closest to my Dom-Victor 2-inch spacer on the NW and 1 1/2 on the victor
The victor has not been ported either the differance was I think 6 HP
I put the NW on my 57-wagon.
