Agree with you on the cobbled up disaster of the sectioned early grilles in the '73 endura nose.
On the DLX seats, I've had two complete sets of 100% original '70 Firebird BLACK DLX seats that the "comfortweaave" material was embossed just like in the pic. Kept partial covers from that first BLACK DLX set, pulled from a 70 Formula partscar in the early 90's. Bought the car for an NOS 1/4 that had been tacked on the left side, every thing else on the car was gravy. Was a VN build with Cali blue/yellow plates. Have the plates up in the shop. The second '70 BLACK DLX set were out of a '70 Esorit that I drove several hours in the late 90's to buy a bunch of parts from. Have also had 2 pair of original ''70 SANDALWOOD Firebiird buckets which were of the embossed "fake" comfortweave style. Am 100% these were original, there were some sort of black stamped numbers on the back sides of these original covers.
