In my old speed shop install - sales days almost every pertronix failed early on.
We were the east coast jobber for speed equipment including circle track stuff.
Auto Finishers Speed and Custom.
We stopped selling them and always sold MSD, magnetic trigger.
DUI are solid as well magnetic triggers,Pertronix are hall effect.
But cross country you still can't beat points and a carb.
